Total ÷ people · rounded for easy transfers (no tipping in Korea)
No. Prices include tax and service, and tipping is not expected.
Many restaurants accept separate payments; ask “따로 계산해 주세요” (ttaro gyesan-hae juseyo).
Example: a ₩87,000 dinner for 4 is exactly ₩21,750 each. Rounded up to ₩1,000, everyone sends ₩22,000, collecting ₩88,000 with ₩1,000 left over. Alternatively three people send ₩21,000 and the payer covers ₩24,000, so the total is exactly ₩87,000.
In Korea, splitting the bill is called 더치페이 or N빵, and friends usually send their share by bank transfer or KakaoPay right after the meal.
Leftover money: if a group collected ₩100,000 and spent ₩87,000, the ₩13,000 left can be returned as ₩3,250 each or kept for the next meeting. Posting the total, number of people, amount per person and the account number in one message to the group chat makes settling up quick and avoids confusion.
